Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with dogs in my home since I was 10 years old. We always had at least 3 dogs, one of every size, to complete our pack. Since I began working with Rover, I have cared for a 125lb Great Dane, two 4lb Yorkies, and many dogs of all sizes in between. Throughout my life, I have adopted and cared for puppies as young as 4 months and elderly pups as old as 15 years. Therefore, I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. I love ALL animals and am so excited to meet yours :) I am currently a graduate student at Sacramento State, but I am currently on summer break. I have daily late afternoon and evening availability and depending on the week, overnight availability as well. I cannot board pets in my home unfortunately. However, I can easily care for your pet in your home. I am comfortable crating dogs if that is your preference as well.

Rachel is the absolute best! We had a terrible first experience with a Rover sitter where one of our dogs got mysteriously injured and her was ear torn down the middle requiring anesthesia and several stitches. We decided that the only way we’d do try anyone from Rover again was to have someone come stay at our house. We went on a week long vacation and Rachel stayed with our fur kids in our home. She took great care of them, sent daily updates, and kept our house clean. She did an amazing job and we can’t wait to hopefully have her over again in the future! Thank you Rachel you’re wonderful!

Rachel was very professional and accommodating with my dog. She was very good with my dog Kya who tends to be nervous around new people. She took great care of her while I was gone for 3 days. We definitely plan on continuing to use her services in the future. Would highly recommend her to take care of your dog.
I had to leave town for work and had Rachel watch my dog Chief while I was gone. She took great care of him and kept up with his normal schedule. She was very flexible when my schedule changed and kept me updated while I was gone. Plan to use Rachel again in the future and would recommend to anyone!

Every dog is different and I make sure to get every detail about your pets routine so I can provide similar care to what they are used to. I do not currently care for other pets in my home. I live in a small apartment and my pup is not the best with other dogs.

Let me know if your pup needs any special medications. I have to give my puppy oral and eye medication multiple times per day, so I am comfortable administering most medications except for injections. I would also love to know if your fur baby has any "triggers" that I need to be aware of (high-pitched tone of voice, not touching certain areas on the dog, etc).
A typical day
I love playing with the pups, whether its with squeaker toys or playing fetch! Seeing them get all excited to play is my absolute favorite thing! I enjoy everything from taking them on walks to cuddling with them after a day of playing (either on the couch if they are allowed or sitting on the floor if not :) ).

Availability
Since I am currently on summer break, my days are generally free to hang out with your pups! I do have my own fur baby, so I would need time in the mornings and evenings to care for him.
