Chris and I live in St.Paul with our beagle-mix, Mayble. We both grew up with pets and have a passion for their sweet souls and will accept your dog with loving arms. Our home has a fenced-in back yard with a big Maple tree. The surrounding neighborhoods have several parks and paths and we are within walking distance to Como Zoo. With our experience, your pet is sure to be in loving and capable arms. We look forward to getting to know you and your pet! About this sitter: I love yoga, eating good food, reading, learning, cotton candy and animals. I am an Acupuncturist, breathwork facilitator and Reiki practitioner specializing in anxiety, depression, stress and pain. I own my own business, Acupuncture with Rachel. I also work at Village Acupuncture and Massage, in Highland Park. Why I love dog sitting Chris and I grew up with animals and have our very own, rescue beagle-mix, Maybe, from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services. I have been a pet sitter for years and have fostered puppies from Safe Hands Rescue. I also grew up with cats, and miss having them around. Meet my pets Mayble, bealge-mix About my yard We have a lovely fenced in back yard with a large Maple tree. My experience administering medication Yes. We both have experience with administering medicine My husband and I work Mon-Fri. Occasionally we work from home, during the week. On the weekends we spend our time doing house projects, cooking, cleaning, hiking and hanging with family and friends. We have a fenced in back yard for potty and play-time. When Chris and I are not at home, we crate our dog and will keep your dog in their own room/crate.

We can't thank Rachel enough for the care and love she provided to Reese. At our initial meet and greet she and her dog Mabel were welcoming. While Reese loves people she is timid around other dogs. Mabel was patient and great at easing Reese into her stay. By the end of the stay she and Mabel were playing and having fun together. This was also our first experience with Rover, but Rachel provided us with great information, and asked questions about Reese to ensure a smooth stay. During the doggie vacation, Rachel gave us updates and photos of Reese. These brought great comfort to my family!! At pick up, Reese was happy to see us, but seemed a little sad not to be staying a little longer. All signs of a great vacation. We will definitely bring Reese back again in the future!

We have been known to make exceptions for really well behaved furry ladies and gentleman :) Dogs spend their time in their crates, playing in our back yard, hanging out in the living room, kitchen, and chilling in their bed or Mayble's bed (she doesn't mind :)

We would like to know if your dog has any triggers for stress (loud noises, cars, other dogs) so we can keep those to a minimum. We would also like to know what your dog likes/dislikes to be sure to include lots of the likes and no dislikes.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We live right by Como Park. Mayble loves to go on walks in the park and the surrounding areas. Your dog's sleeping arrangement For the sanity of us and our neighbors (lol, but really) we only take dogs that are crate-trained. Best-case scenario, your dog loves to sleep in their crate. If they aren't comfortable sleeping in their crates, we have been known to bend the rules for well-trained dogs :) Time I'll spend with your dog When working from home, we hang out with our furry friends during our breaks. When we're done with work, we all chill together until bedtime.

Chris and I work Mon-Fri, occasionally from home. When we are working from home, dogs are kept in crates or the living room, where we play and give snacks during our breaks. When we are done with work, we all hang out and eat dinner, play in back yard, go for walks or watch movies.
