Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my life for the last 40 years. I am great with walks, dog parks and routine care. Knowledgeable after surgery with medication and other needs as well. I have a 10 year old border collie and a Miniature Australian Shepard puppy- they LOVES other dogs but can also go to my ex husbands for boarding if your dog is reactive. And scheduling works. It’s about team work and knowing boundaries and giving these pets their best lives. I have a fenced back yard for potty breaks and we go on walks. I prefer kenneling for overnight stays in my home until I know how your pet and I work together. Sometimes that’s the safest place while we all sleep. However it’s dog/family dependent. I don’t mind quirky dogs- sometimes the grumpy old farts are my favorites, I just like to have a heads up!

When you go on vacation, you always want to know that your animal is in good hands. I definitely felt that with this sitter. My dog has a lot of anxiety and i was worried about leaving her but this sitter made me feel comfortable leaving her for a couple days and my dog had a blast.
This was our first time using Rachel’s services and we couldn’t have been more pleased. It was apparent that she loved on our dogs and took good care of them. Also appreciated the regular photo updates. Would definitely use her again. Thanks, Rachel!

I like to know your dogs quirks- does your dog pee when they get excited? Does your dog have some food aggressions? I’m good with whatever I just like to know in advance so it doesn’t catch me off guard.
A typical day
Walks, dog park and some fun yard games! Depending on your dog and your dogs needs and energy we will adjust our day. Lazy or high energy I like them all!

Availability
I work from the office 4 days a week but during the summer my son is also home during the day. Weekends and evenings are usually more low key when we have guests visiting. All dog dependent on if we go to a dog park or a beer garden. I like to communicate with YOU on what’s appropriate for your pet.
