Hello all, Welcome to my profile! I’m Rachel (Ray for short), born & raised north of Lansing & currently residing in Potterville, MI. Long time animal lover & enthusiast; safety & happiness are my top priorities while caring for your pet. I look forward to meeting you & your furry friend(s)! My love of animals began early; my family adopted Trixie (a sweet & goofy Shih Tzu puppy) when I was only 2. Basically for the next 15 years I would ask my parents to adopt every animal in sight, to which they generally said ‘No, honey’ (lol). I continued to ask anyway and my interest kept growing. Besides Trixie, we adopted a couple of kittens & cats over the years (including but not limited to the infamous Candynut), an assortment of fish, hamsters, and an adorable tiny water frog. So many great childhood memories with animals, which I am forever thankful for. In 2010, a couple years after graduating high school and attending community college, I moved to Colorado where I immediately began volunteering as a dog walker at local & infamous shelter, Maxfund. A few years later, I adopted Frankie, a husky mix rescue from New Mexico! Frankie & I moved to Chicago in 2016. I started working at a doggie daycare here and gained experience with a great variation of breeds and temperaments. I have now been working as a full-time dog walker & pet care professional for 3+ years, serving the northwest side of Chicago. This past December, I adopted Peanut; a husky mix from Joliet.
