Puppy Palace Vacancies!!

Pet care experience

I’m a patient, flexible and fun dog sitter who puts my clients needs first — both canine and human. I love all animals with a true passion. I’ve always felt an empathy and connection with animals, especially growing up with dogs. My first dog was a Pomeranian named Tyler — I still remember how sad I was when he died (I was only three). Since then my family always had dogs, usually rescues at varying ages. While I’m not yet at a point where I could have my own dog, I love being able to bond with pups by providing care for dog owners in my community. My clients know I truly love their dogs. They know this because their dogs get instantly excited when they approach my building. Their ears perk up and they lead their owners to my apartment and they’re so happy once they get inside! I have heard that from many clients. One of my most distinguishing qualities as a sitter is my flexibility. I respond quickly and am willing to put my client first when it comes to providing care and solutions. I have experience caring for the following breeds: Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Collies, Poodles, French Bulldogs, American Eskimo, Husky, and Chihuahuas. I am familiar with most dog breeds. I have specialization with elderly dogs and can give oral medication. I fostered in college, which gave me great experience caring for dogs with special needs. I am 25 and originally from Phoenix although I have been on the East Coast for about seven years now. I will try anything at least once. I love the outdoors and like to just walk around NYC just to see different neighborhoods. I have a very mothering personality. I like to plan outings or dinners for my friends and I to enjoy. I work in insurance, which is a very social industry. I come from a large family and I am the oldest of 5 kids. This city is amazing! There are so many things you can do with pets and with friends. I like to try new restaurants/bars with friends and explore new areas of the city. I also love to attend events (concerts, games, Westminster Dog show) at Madison Square Garden. I also love to cook! In general, I am happiest when I'm able to share a delicious meal with old and new friends.

Y'all 5 stars doesn't even begin to explain how great Rachel is! I swear our pup comes home and misses Rachel more than she missed us. So nice to have someone in the city you can trust to take great care of your dog. Don't be fooled by others with high ratings, Rachel is THE BEST!!

I would love to know any important facts about you pet before sitting and am available for a meet and greet before any scheduled stay. To provide the best care for your pet I want to know as much about them as possible!

A typical day

If your pup is good with other dogs, I always plan at least one trip to the dog park during the stay. Outside of that, I love playing fetch or tug o war. If your pup is a lounger, I have been known to give amazing belly rubs or back scratches! Pre pandemic during the week, I work 20 minutes away from 9 to 6. Depending on your dog’s needs, I come home for a walk midday during lunch. I try to watch dogs that come from families with similar work schedules during the week, since pups will be used to my schedule. On weekends, I am home all day for playtime or relaxing. Whatever your pup desires! I also work in a dog friendly office so can bring your pup along if you’d like. During the pandemic, I mostly work from home now!
