Experienced and Proud Rover Sitter!
Pet care experience
I've been doing drop-in visits around my neighborhood for about 9 years. When I heard about Rover, I thought it would be great to expand my existing business with it. I work very well with dogs and cats, I also take care of smaller animals, like hamsters, and fish. I also have my own car so I'll usually be on time or early to drop-ins and walks. As for my personality I'm shy, but I'm very friendly, organized, and I love my job here at Rover. Availability wise, I have some regular drop-in’s daily so that makes my schedule a little tight. But, if you’re flexible with time we could definitely work something out. As for weekends, I’m usually visiting my extended family because they all live an hour away, so that’s why I have Saturday and Sunday marked as unavailable. Really looking forward to working with you and your pet soon!
Reviews
Rachel did a great job taking care of our pup. She's flexible and very sweet. I will definitely use her again!
Wonderful care for our kitty as usual!
Thank you Rachel for helping us in such short notice. We had a flight cancelled and return trip delayed to next day. Appreciate your time on a Sunday to drop-by to check on our cats tonight.
Rachel was great! Second time with her 😻

Walks: I always make sure the harness is on correctly before waking and I also like to provide water after the walk to rehydrate. Drop-ins: I remember to check the food supply, fill the water bowl with fresh water, scoop the litter boxes for cats, and watch the dog when he/she is outside at all times. For Both: I am very careful when locking up the house before leaving (even double check sometimes), and I like to bring any packages that are on the porch indoors when I see them.
Information Rachel H. would like to know about your pet
I don't favor any particular breeds. The most important thing to me is whether or not a dog has had a history of aggression. If your dog is a little scared or nervous during the meet and greet, or if your dog is young and play-bites that's fine. But I don't tolerate aggressive biting.
A typical day
For Walks: I usually take dogs on walks around the owners neighborhood. But I do take requests on where to walk the dog. Like if your dog has a favorite area I will go that way. I also take requests on where not to walk the dog. For example if your dog doesn't get along with another dog in the area and that particular dog is in the backyard often, I will avoid that area. If you want me to take your dog to the dog park I can do that as long as you have a dog park pass. For Drop-ins: The first thing I do when I get to a home is let the dog outside in the backyard if it’s fenced in, and on a leash if there is no fence. After that I just follow along with what the dog wants to do. If they look like they want to play, I will take them in the backyard and let them run around or play fetch with them. If they look tired, I will sit on the couch or floor and pet them.
