Almost 10 years ago I was blessed with the surprising and life-changing acquisition of my very first dog. He made me LOVE the world of dog behavior and training and I subsequently started volunteering in dog rescue. During this time, I was fortunate enough to work with a Certified Pet Dog Trainer who was studying to receive her certification as a Behaviorist. It was with her that I learned about what training methods create the best dog/human relationship. I've fostered many dogs in my home, as well as taken care of up to 8 dogs in one home at a time. Since a large portion of my experience is working with dogs that have been abused, neglected or abandoned, I've learned how to communicate with dogs in a way that is positive and kind, yet lets the dog know what behaviors are acceptable to humans. These experiences have given me all of the skills that any client would want in their Dog Sitter.
