Pet care experience
Hello my name is Rachel Edwards and I’m a 23 year old Canine Specialist in training. I’ve been working with canine of all sorts since 2018 and I couldn’t be in a field that made me more happy. I started working in San Diego about 3 years ago where I gained more of my experience on Wag!. I can link my profile in the messages if need to see more references. I moved back to the Bay Area at the end of 2020 where I’ve been mostly doing sittings but I also offer boarding and walks/drop ins! In 2 years time I hope to have my Canine Specialist certification and lots more clients to cater to. I can’t wait to meet your canine babies and work together in the future! I’m currently doing online school to get my certification in canine care specialty so with that I have been working with walking, boarding, and sitting pups so my schedule is pretty flexible. As someone who has been in the canine care industry for years and am studying to be a canine specialist with two pups of my own, it is the most important for me to treat whatever pup that is in my care as if they are my own. Whether that’s cleaning their teeth, bathing them, taking them to the park with me, the dog park whatever that may be we always have a good time. And we live in California we’re rain barely exist so why not be outside as much as we can?

Rachel is a wonderful Petsitter! She recently took care of our dog and cat in our home for a week during our family vacation. Our dog has special needs, requiring medications several times a day. Rachel took amazing care to ensure he had his pills as needed. She also went way above and beyond, taking him to several parks and even bathed him in the last day even though we weren’t expecting it. She also took great care of our home, keeping us informed of anything needing our attention. What a relief to be able to take our vacation knowing that Rachel was giving wonderful care to our pets.
Rachel has taken care of our anxious doggie Dex twice now - once for a weekend and once for a full week. From the initial meet and greet Rachel connected with our pup right away. It is such a relief to find someone so knowledgeable and caring to be with or boy while we are away. He got lots of love, walks, cuddles and play time in our absence. Rachel is great with communication and also left everything in our home in order. We highly recommend her.
Rachel visited Hudson twice on Saturday and gave me a much needed break from hospice care. She was very responsive to my request at short notice and really went the extra mile to be there for Hudson, helping him outside when needed and making sure he was clean. She is very caring and responsible. I would not hesitate to ask her help again.
