Availability
I have plenty of free time during the summer, which allows me to offer flexible and consistent care throughout the week—whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. During the school year, I’m still available most evenings and weekends for pet care.

Safety, trust & environment
In a client’s home, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, regular walks, fresh water, and lots of play or cuddle time, depending on their needs and personality. I also take the time to follow any specific routines or instructions you provide.
Information Rachel D. would like to know about your pet
I always make sure to ask about their feeding schedule, any medical needs, and their daily routine. I also want to know about their behavior, triggers, and how they do around other dogs or people. Most importantly, I make sure I have emergency contacts and their vet information just in case.
A typical day
When watching dogs, I love to keep them active, engaged, and happy with a variety of fun activities. We might go on long walks through the neighborhood or explore a nearby park. I also enjoy playing fetch or tug-of-war to get their energy out in a fun way. For mental stimulation, I like to use treat puzzles or teach simple tricks like “sit,” “paw,” or “spin.”

Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Rachel, and I’m based in the Saint Cloud area while attending the College of Saint Benedict. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I have a sweet 1-year-old Maltese mix puppy named Crunch, and before him, I had another Maltese who was a beloved part of my family for nearly 12 years. I’m currently on a pre-vet track with the goal of attending veterinary school in the future. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets—whether it’s daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, or just keeping them company while they're away. I also volunteer at the local humane society, where I’ve gained valuable experience with dog walking and general animal care. On top of that, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to do veterinary work abroad, further strengthening my skills and passion for animal health and well-being.
