Rachel is by far one of the best pup sitters out there. She’s taken care of my little guys several times and she shows them love and makes sure they are well taken care of while I’m away. Thank you Rachel for everything!!!!!!!

Rachel is sweet and patient with dogs, and enjoys being around them. She takes her responsibilities toward other living creatures seriously. She takes great care of her cat, and took good care of my fish when I was away from home. Rachel is a reliable and caring animal caregiver.

Skilled Dog-Loving Student

I've kept dogs since I was very young, and I've always felt that they make the greatest companions. As a college student, I no longer have the time and means to keep dogs as pets. For me, dog-sitting and walking is the perfect solution. It enables me to spend time with dogs while earning a little income. I always part from my canine clients feeling less stressed than I was before. Dog-walking is also gratifying ...

When Rachel watches your pet

I live close-by to the University of Virginia campus, which I think is a wonderful place to walk outgoing dogs. They get the benefit of exercise along with human interaction. I also find that the students and faculty benefit from these interactions.

Another favorite place to walk is the trail at Riverview Park. It's a longish walk, where dogs can interact with other dogs and people (if they like). The park also has swimming areas that are open to dogs.

Azalea Park is a spot close to my home that features a dog park. The dogs that frequent the park are generally very well-behaved, making the park a great place for dogs to run and play off-lease.

Aside from great walks, I can provide play activities like fetch, run-and-chase play, tug-of-war. I have many interesting and fun toys, including puzzle feeding toys.

Quiet time is something I cherish with dogs. Petting, belly-rubs, praise and gentle talking, and playing/listening to music are quiet activities that dogs enjoy as much as I do. This is time that builds trust and relieves stress.

Another quiet activity is training, which can also be a type of playtime. I provide basic training activities, emphasizing reward and praise.
