My name is Rachel and I'm currently a pre-veterinary student at Cal. I've worked and cared for dogs almost my entire life! I've volunteered in shelters as a dog walker and worked to socialize pups. I currently volunteer as a vet tech assistant at Oakland Animal Services, mostly assisting with vet exams and surgical recovery. I live in an apartment with my dog Kona (a 43 pound mutt) and my roommate's dog (a 6 pound maltese). I spend most of my time studying for school, taking care of my dogs, and volunteering! I'm very comfortable giving oral and injection medications if necessary. For walks, big and small dogs are welcome! I’m experienced with tough walkers too. Just give me a heads up for what I should look out for! I also love jogging with dogs so let me know if you’d like that! I am very vigilant on walks and will ensure that your pup's safety and comfort is number one. You will receive a very detailed report card from me and cute pictures! For drop-in visits, respect for your home and your dog are top priority! I follow instructions very closely and welcome any information you have about your fur baby that can make their time with me the most fun and efficient.
