Rachel and her husband were very thorough and welcoming, and kept us informed during our trip with messages and pictures. It made our trip enjoyable, not having to worry about our pup. She looked happy and well taken care of! Thank you! Would book again!

Rachel was great with Rocco, he was happy and clean and seemed to have enjoyed his time with Rachel and her family. They sent such cute pics!!! I will definitely book again with Rachel for future sittings.

The worst experience!!! I scheduled 4 visits because I was going out of town, the first were fine, Rachel says she stayed more time to play with my doggies and sent pictures. When I got home from my trip both of my dogs were stinky and had poop all over their heads and bodies. It was late and decided to wait until the next day to give them a bath, I did so and thought everything was ok but I was really mad! Anyway the days passed and I could smell poop but I didn’t understand because I had given them a really good bath. Five days later I found out where the smell was coming :/ it came from INSIDE my dog ears!!! OMG she had the inside of her ears FULL of POOP!! I am really upset because now I have to take her to the vet to see she doesn’t have an ear infection! Sorry for the long story but I hope it helps you to make good choices. Oh, I almost forgot, for the last visit, Rachel didn’t come, she sent her boyfriend whom I don’t know and I am sure is the responsible for this situation. Please be sure who you trust to take care of your doggies. Mine was a horrible experience and is not over yet :(

Rachel was outstanding! So glad I booked my 10-year old doxie for a three-night stay with Rachel. I could tell she is a genuine dog lover. My dog is older, takes medication and has a special diet. Rachel accommodated all of my dog's needs. I got daily updates (and pics) of my dog from Rachel while I was away which was an especially nice touch. I will definitely be booking with Rachel in the future. Highly recommend.

Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed restrictions and am comfortable with all ages from puppy to senior. I have a background in Veterinary Medicine so I am very confident caring for sick and elderly dogs as well as dogs with behavioral issues. I do need to be made aware of any of the following information in advance in order to provide the best quality of care: 1) Does your dog have any medical issues? (what medications they are taking, who is their vet, etc.) 2) Does your dog have any behavioral issues? (aggression toward kids or other dogs, separation anxiety, etc)

A typical day

My pet-sitting style is very much tailored to each individual dog and their needs/personality. Because of this, I find that it is very important to have a phone consultation with each pet owner before my first appointment so I can get a sense of their dog's likes and dislikes. Companionship, food, and exercise are the principle daily goals with each of my dogs. I will often walk older dogs and/or dogs who have very set routines along familiar neighborhood routes in order to minimize stress. If your dog is an energetic social butterfly, however, I am just as happy to grab a ball and head for a nice grassy field or go for a hike around Alston Park and give your pooch a chance to socialize with other dogs. I am always open to special requests, your dog's comfort and happiness are my primary concern. I also do offer a daily pet journal service where I provide a brief written summary of your dog's daily activities as well as a photo from the day.
