Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner my entire life and now have had personal experience with horses, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, lizards, guinea pigs, and mice. I used to foster dogs and I have experience with medical needs and senior care. I put the needs of my pets ahead of mine. I try everything possible to make sure at the end of the day they are comfortable and feel safe and loved. I used to roller blade with my Besenji mix due to his high energy levels and I am currently building trust with a 9 lb rescue rabbit who is fearful to be picked up.

Rachel watched our dog, Mona while we were away for the weekend. It was a short notice booking however it worked out great! Rachel really bonded with Mona and sent lots of pictures and updates. Mona who is usually a nervous dog seemed very relaxed and calm when we returned. I can’t say enough positive things about the experience! We would definitely use Rachel again.
Rachel was absolutely outstanding! She took care of our Goldendoodle and Yorkie and made them feel like royalty! We loved receiving daily pictures and videos of the girls and also updates throughout the week. You will not be sorry to hire Rachel!

I have a fenced in yard and GPS trackers on my pets and can easily use this same care for your pet in my home. My pets are both crate trained and can roam free in the house but on stormy days it is best they are safe in a crate to reduce anxiety. Once I am home my attention is for them. I can care for your pets in your own home as well with a great understanding of making sure all of their emotional and physical needs are met so you can enjoy your time away.

Of course, be sure to let me know of any medical or mental health needs that your pet needs. I also like to know if there are any restrictions such as food quantities/type and not being permitted on the furniture so that when they transition back to their normal routine there is very little stress. Also, I would like to know what soothes your pet and what makes them excited. I want this to be a vacation for them as well. (Please let me know if they have any aggressive or anxiety triggers (I have small pets and children come to my house frequently))
A typical day
My dogs go pretty much every where I go. We LOVE going out for breakfast and will typically make our way to Tyler State Park, Core Creek Park, Silver Lake or Fallsington. Anywhere with new smells for the pups to get those brains working. We also have a ball obsessed dog so we are professionals when it comes to multi-tasking and being able to throw a ball no matter what we are doing. In our fenced back yard, we have a doggie pool that can easily be set up for a dog who loves water.

Availability
I work Monday - Friday full time. If I care for your pet during the week day then I will be leaving them home for some time but at night all of my attention will be for them. I am available the entire weekend.
