Rachel lived across the street from me growing up. We were best friends and did everything together. When she was about 8 their family got two rabbits (Mopsy and cottontail). She spent hours playing with them, as well as caring for them. A few years later, after much insistence, her parents finally gave in and got a family dog. She was over the moon to finally have a puppy. Smokey was her best bud, and when she got home from school, the two were inseparable. My family used to go away every summer for a week, and we knew Rachel would lovingly care for our dog Teddy, and our assortment of cats. I knew my dog was in good hands with her, because she is such an animal lover. Every year when we came home, the animals were all well taken care of. Rachel has a heart of gold and every year she took such good care of my pets while we were away. Any animal would be lucky to be under her care!
