My name is Rachel, I'm originally form Canada where i worked as a team lead for PetSmart as well as a head for a pet boarding/pound/rescue/grooming facility. I have acquired over 14 years of professional experience. I have been involved with raising, training, and caring for dogs and nearly every other type of pet. I has extensive knowledge of just about any critter and love them all! My husband Mark is a gentle giant of a man and many dogs find comfort snuggling in with him. As a volunteer fire fighter and soon to be EMT, Mark is very safety oriented and knows first aid and CPR. I moved to Ohio in 2013 to be with my husband Mark, where I then created and ran a in-home doggy daycare and boarding (CountrySideDogDays). In 2019 my husband and I decided to move to where we loved to vacationed, and moved to Murphy North Carolina! Mark is on his way to being an EMT, while work from home and continue pet sitting, albeit on a smaller scale. In 2023 we moved to our new home out towards the Wolf Creek area where we have more land, privacy and tranquility. We are both volunteers at Carolina Border Collie Rescue and Foster Border Collies in our home, rehabilitate them and help them find a new forever home. Our home is located on a private road with no traffic except for the neighbors. The property is on 3 acres of private land with trails for your pooch to be walked on. There is currently a small fenced in area with a low fence (previously just intended for my two cavaliers), it can hold small and elderly or non escape prone dogs. We have a large open area in the backyard we will be fencing in properly this coming year. I will work with you and your dog to ensure a happy, stress free walks and visits. I'll do everything in my power to accommodate his or her needs to make sure that your pet's Walks and visits will be the next best thing to being with you! 🙂 _____________________________ What I offer : ❤️ I work from Home, so your pet will have someone with them 24/7. ❤️I can administer medications, accept last minute requests, work with mental and physically disabled pets. ❤️I can care for all animals, including birds, lizards and small animals. ❤️I also do training, small behavioral work, bathing and light grooming. ❤️My husband is CPR certified, First Aid kits on property. My Home: ❤️My home has Dogs and Cats and love to show a new dog the ropes to relaxing and having fun! ❤️ No interior stairs, however outside there are 5 steps in the front to gain access to the house. 2 steps for indirect access off deck to yard and 8 for direct. ❤️ No carpet in main area of home. ❤️ Fenced in Deck area with direct access and plenty of sunshine. ❤️ Dog crates and beds available for use. ❤️ 3 Acres of private land with trails. ❤️ Video surveillance of property for safety. ❤️My home is situated away from busy roads, minimal care traffic (just the neighbors).
