Availability
I work full time / hybrid in Bracknell 2/3 days a week. This has usually been pretty flexible. Whilst I am on my WFH days I can offer more frequent services. At University I achieved a Masters in Marine Biology / Applied Aquatic Biology.

Safety, trust & environment
I am an ex-Special Constable of 6 years so believe I am a trustworthy person & I work well in a crisis should one ever occur. I can conduct whatever manner of care you require, from feeding in your home, to walks and toilet breaks. Please let me know what you require, and we can discuss and you can give me notes/I can take notes if anything is more specific so nothing is missed, and you can come home to a happy healthy pet!
Information Rachael W. would like to know about your pet
Schedule is always super important to stick to. What times do they eat (what and how much), take their medications, go for their walks? The less interrupted their daily schedule is, the happier your pet will be as at least their daily lives will be as minimally disrupted as possible. Do they have a favourite toy/game they like to play? Are they learning anything new at the moment that we can practice together? Are there any no go areas in the house for the pet e.g. are they allowed upstairs, or on the furniture? Are there any specific behaviours to look out for so I know they want to go outside, or have any other needs or wants? Emergency contact details for your vet, and an alternative contact to yourself if you’re not going to be available (e.g. out the country, or during a Wedding ceremony). Let me know anything you can think of that will make your pet as happy as possibly whilst you are away.
A typical day
We go on walks, play games, or chill out. It is all led by the owners requests, or if it’s pretty relaxed, I go by how the pet is feeling. If they’re bringing me the ball - let’s play ball! If they’re just wanting to cuddle up and take a nap, then that’s cool too. When it’s time to go on a walk, we can take the favourite ball or toy to chase, or just find a great stick instead. If they’re not confident off the lead, we can go around a local park on a long lead and do some exploring of the local smells instead.

Dogs, cats, and birds! Loving pet care available!
Pet care experience
I have spent a number of years assisting my live in landlords with walking their dogs and general maintenance (elderly staffies, and young Greek foster rescues), and have also lived in a house of 4 cats where I have had much the same role of assisting in their day to day care of feeding and looking after the animals (including kittens) whilst the owners were away. I, myself have owned parrots, including an Alexandrine, cockatiel, and many budgies over the last 15 years and very much enjoy an animal in my home, and I find this a very special bond to have and build. I have brought them up from young weened birds, trained them through to their life end. Regular vet visits, and always insured to ensure their best care is afforded. My care is not limited to dogs, cats and birds, I have previously also owned rabbits, hamsters etc., so please ask in advance if you have any other pets to look after! For overnight stays for more than 1 night, I request my budgie Mochi can stay with me so I can make sure he is fed, watered & entertained. He is never allowed out the cage in clients homes, & any spilt seed and feathers are picked up with my own Dyson handheld - any questions around this are welcomed! When making a booking, if you could also kindly note if there are any parking/access restrictions for your area e.g. if you will need to apply for a permit for the duration of the stay, or if there are restrictions for certain vehicles e.g. narrow access/tight driveways. I sound like an HGV driver… but owning a large corporate saloon, has its downsides!
Reviews
Rachael was great. On time, great with my girls, and very pleasant. I would have Rachael to look after my dog anytime.

Rachael once again did a brilliant job for us. She’s dependable, gets on well with Bernard and keeps the house tidy. We’ll definitely be seeing her again.

Hervey took to Rachael immediately which gave us a lot of confidence. We loved the updates and photos. She was very thorough in understanding his and our needs. Very happy to call Rachael again

Reliable as always, Rachael did a drop in to feed Bo and Buzz and made sure they got a toilet break. Communication was prompt and friendly before and during the drop in.
