I've been caring for pets, both my own and for family members, family friends, neighbors, and coworkers from about the age of eight to present. My childhood best friend's dad was a vet and we nearly lived at his clinic playing with and helping care for animals, and my grandma was a dog groomer for the majority of my childhood. She used to let me help her in the shop as well as teach me from her own knowledge and give me books so I could learn more about the species I loved. I have been feeding, walking, and caring for animals of all ages for years. I worked at a doggy daycare facility throughout my college career. Working at the daycare I monitored groups of 30+ small or large (separate groups) at a time. I also helped manage both regular and specified feedings as well as administering medications with meals. I've also helped with first-aid needs for pups that found themselves with an injury, and have calmly taken animals to the vet / urgent care as needed. Past the daycare I've continued to care for animals of friends and neighbors as well as having fur-babies of my own. I really love all creatures great and small, and I love to befriend and care for them. I find the human-animal relationship to be so special and fascinating and it brings me joy. I am currently working freelance jobs, and my schedule is very flexible. I mostly make my own schedule and have time to tend to animals when needed. If a certain week is more work-heavy than another, I will be very forth-coming about my availability. I have a back yard for potty trips (unfenced) and live in very walkable Dog Town STL. I am very near Forrest park and would be happy to take pups on park field trips as well. I have a little dog (8lbs, 5 yr old all black yorkie-poo) that is my well trained familiar that will happily keep your pup company for their stay. If I'm coming by for feedings and walks, I can happily do so at your requested schedule and to your furry friend's needs while respecting your space and ensuring your pup is as well while you're away.
