We have had cats for over 15 years and dogs for the last 5. We raised our corgi from puppyhood and adopted our mini schnauzer. The schnauzer had prior trauma and we learned how to slowly acclimate her to our social and active lifestyle. You would not know she ever had trouble making eye contact or coming up to strangers before. We have taken care of friends dogs over the years including an elderly dog with additional meds and care needed. I work from home and we have a fenced yard for potty breaks. We also have a safe neighborhood for walks. Our cats are used to dogs, and we gate off a room so they can be separate if needed. Our dogs are very friendly and we ask that only friendly dogs join us. I currently work from home 5 days a week. We feed our dogs and cats separately and 2x per day. Weekends we generally hike or get out for day trips, so we can accommodate weekend care with more advanced notice. We are early to bed and early rise people and the dogs sleep in our bedroom with us. My dogs hang out in the office with me and so would your pup unless otherwise specified. They are let out regularly and always have water access. We usually walk early in the morning and occasionally in the afternoon. Happy to accommodate your pet’s needs as well. Cat food and litter are inaccessible to the dogs and they generally stay away from unfamiliar dogs. Overnight pup guests would stay in our room with us either in a crate or dog bed depending on their preferences. Our dogs have crates they sleep in when guests are over.
