Diversified Pet Care Provider

Pet care experience

I worked as a doggy daycare supervisor and care provider for over three years at an established boarding/grooming/daycare facility, going out of my way to do whatever possible for the dogs in our care (cats, too!) to be as comfortable and happy as possible while their owners were away. If they needed to be taken outside more often than others, needed extra brushing or needed someone to sit on the floor with them and hand-feed them (for those that are too stressed to eat while away from home, or just they’re already spoiled with it at home), I always did what I could to provide that for them. I also was a manager at PetSmart for a year, learning more about the retail aspect of pet care, good and bad, for everything from which food is best to which treats maybe aren’t the healthiest to which toys will end up lasting longer (for those of us with extreme chewers!). I am also a certified PetTech Pet CPR and First Aid Instructor (and always have first aid supplies on me) and have taken several pet psychology and body language courses, geared mostly towards dogs, but addresses cats and even bunnies as well! BONUS: As a studied photographer (I double majored in business and photography in college), I naturally wanted to pick up the picture taking duties at the boarding and daycare facility where I worked. I soon realized my intense passion for shooting the dogs (and cats) in action, whether it be running and romping, or resting and chilled. I always strive to get a great, candid shot of the fur babies for their family! *Disclaimer: Unless I am in the shot, or it is otherwise stated, all photos posted are taken by me.

We love Quincy! She is always so dependable and does amazing with our animals. She is also very accommodating with last minute visits! We’ve needed her a couple of times last minute and she’s always quick to respond and ready to help!

Quincy did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats and two dogs! She was very attentive to each animal and quickly learned their personalities and quirks. It was so great knowing that we could leave our animals and they would be taken care of! It was obvious that she really loves animals and her job! We will definitely be using her again with any Rover needs!

Information Quincy J. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know breed (or best guess), age, any particular medical conditions, any allergies (the usual stuff). But I would also like to know toy preferences (squeaky, plush, rope, rubber), favorite treats or treat flavor (and if there is anything you don’t give them), do they prefer being outside or inside (for those that are older or have just gotten a little spoiled), if they do or don’t like kids (for when out walking, in case a kid crosses our path), if they do or don’t like being picked up or held, if they do or don’t like loud noises, and really just any other like, dislike or quirk they may have, even if it seems to be a small one (because I know any little thing can help a dog feel more at ease when away from their owners).
