Im Shaquia, of Quia's Furry Friends! I have cared for pups and kitties for nearly 20 years. I have cared for different breeds and sizes, all with love, attention and care! As a single adult I don’t have any pets of my own, but I treat my parents dogs, Rascal and Chauncey like they are my own. They frequently come to visit me! My parents call my place their vacation property! I have had the amazing opportunity many times to care for pets of friends and family for many reasons. Whether a vacation, family move, new baby, active duty personnel, personal crises, or a pet recovering from surgery. I have been a reliable care giver to take pets to dr appointments, groomer appointments, car rides (if enjoyed), and personally bathing and grooming them when necessary. For those who are aging and may not have the ability to consistently take their furry companions for walks, I am willing and able to provide support. It would be an honor to assist you in your family’s needs.

This sitter is awesome! Quia sent pictures, videos and played with our pet Zoar (a German Shepard) constantly. She was attentive to all his needs and mine. When I picked him up, he was not stressed like he would have been if I had him in a kennel. He was healthy, happy and she attended to all his needs. I'm so happy I chose Rover and more importantly Quia as our pet sitter. She is a life saver and I was able to relax and not worry about him at all. Great job Quia! You are the best!
Quia did a wonderful job with our dog Jax. It was our first time boarding him and we were very uncomfortable leaving Jax in a kennel. It felt like we left him with a good friend who loves animals as much as we do. Our meet and greet went wonderfully. It was an opportunity to see them interact. Quia called to see if it would be comfortable with another puppy over the weekend. I appreciate that she checked with me because I was the first booking. Quia set up a meet & greet for the two. Everything went great and I was glad to know he had a playmate. I will absolutely use her services again! I highly recommend Quia.
Quia was super friendly and accommodating with pickup and drop off times for us. She sent daily updates and pictures which really eased our minds with this being the first time having someone watch our dog! He was so happy and I could tell he enjoyed his time away! Highly recommend

Pets are kept safe, loved on, treated with playtime, nutrition and exercise. My apartment community is a gated community that welcomes our furry friends. There are many play parks on the premises where our pups can have play time on the gym. Pets are to be leashed at all times while on the premises and parents are encouraged to keep our community clean by cleaning up after our friends. Pets are free to roam in my home provided that they are potty trained. If small pets are not potty trained, they will have the ability to roam free or be caged, but with a potty schedule to help develop the discipline. I find that positive reinforcement and reward system works well with potty training, so with the parents permission, treats are given. Parents may also provide a recommended treat.

Prior to our visit, I prefer to know of any ailments a pup may have (I.e limps, lumps, medical conditions), if spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, if potty trained, and any mannerisms towards people or other animals.
A typical day
A fun day with my furry companions includes lots of play toys! I love to see them enjoy themselves. We go to parks and places with lots of green pasture. Though there is lots of land at my apartment, I love to take them to forest park as well.

Availability
I work full time job from home and I am also a student taking classes online with a flexible learning schedule. I spend most of my time at home except Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings for church. In addition, I walk and exercise 7 days a week. I love enjoying nature, so I welcome them to come along! Furry friends are amazing support for mental, emotional, and physical health! With my schedule, my furry friends will have a potty/play schedule of 3-4 times per day based on his or her needs. Mornings at 7am begin with a walk around the premises lasting approximately 15 minutes. Then, we return home for breakfast! Afternoons are spent at play, then are provided with fresh water and lunch. Evenings and nights will depend on the needs of the pet, but will always include potty and play time!
