Pet care experience
Aside from my time working with Wayside Waifs as a Cat and Dog Specialist volunteer for 3 years and Volunteer Team Manager for 1 year, I am also the proud owner of three fur babies. I have had pets my whole life with my first cat, Lilisee, living to be 21 years old. I have raised a litter of kittens and puppies and kept a couple sibling cats, Hoja and Gojo, who are about 2 years old ! So, as you can see I have quite the range when it comes to caring for your fur babies no matter their age. My 16 year old dog, Scooter, is a Dachshund so I am sure I can handle your crazy little baby as well, haha! But I also have experience caring for several breeds of bigger dogs with my favorites being Pitties and Shepards and Danes! Other animals I just so happen to also have experience with: snakes, turtles, rodents, and hedgies! NO Birds or Fish. My name is Queen and I guarantee that whether it be for a couple hours or a couple of weeks, I will give your furry friend the royal treatment! :-)

As a pet owner myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to have ANYONE but yourself caring for your babies while you're away. I promise to send (probably too many) text w/picture updates on your furry friend as well as stick to whatever established schedules and procedures you have in place. I don't offer care at my own home because I know how nervous pets can be being away from their owner and away from home and with my pets I wouldn't want to add any additional anxiety. With that being said, I promise to respect you, your home, your boundaries, and your fur babies while providing care.

I have a set list of questions I will ask including but not limited to: What is your dog's daily schedule? What medications are they on/have been on in last 6 months? Are there any no/nos, or things you don't want them to do around the house? Does your dog tend to have anxiety? How is your dog around other dogs? What's the longest your dog should be alone? What kind of toys does your dog prefer? Does your dog respond to commands/his/her name? Etc.
A typical day
I love a good walk! Early mornings and/or after dinner is my favorite. Your pup is sure to be worn out after hanging out with me! I'm also always down for a cuddle on the couch, watching cartoons or historical dramas.

I have a very flexible schedule as most of my outside work is done remotely/from home. I can work from your home independently if you need an overnight or multi-day sitter.
