I’ve just finished working in a dog rescue shelter in Costa Rica and now I’m back home as I’m currently in a career change from a marine biologist to a vet. I work in a veterinary practice on Thursdays and Fridays to gain experience for university. The rest of my time I enjoy spending with animals. I love all breeds of dogs and highly disagree with any certain breed being tarred with the same brush. Each dog is individual. I’ve looked after Great Danes, Pitbulls, Staffordshire bull terriers, Labradors, German Shepards, Spaniels, Dachshunds, and many more! I love being active and frequently go on runs and long walks and try to mix it up everyday whether it’s through the woods, fields or the park. We also have an AGA at home which is great when it’s been pouring with rain and the dogs need to be next to some extra warmth, the little ones love to sleep next to it if they get cold easily. From the kitchen we have french windows leading out onto the garden so they have access all day for the toilet. We don’t currently have any dogs at home so company is always welcome, it always puts a smile on my face seeing a wagging tale!
