I am constantly asked “You still don’t have a dog yet?” from friends. Unfortunately my answer is no; I don’t quite have the time I wish to have in order to raise a puppy the way I’d like to. I grew up with multiple large dogs as a kid, and now I am the go to friend for watching all of my human friend’s dogs. Some even brought them to their weddings for me! My older brother has been boarding dogs at my parent’s home for 7+ years now, just to keep furry friends around the house for my parents. Dog loving is in the family blood. I love to be very active with the dogs and take them outside for all sorts of activities. I helped raise 3 incredibly disciplined and people loving pups throughout college (Yellow lab, Husky, and Chocolate Labradoodle) and I’m yearning to get back into hanging out with dog friends more often. I currently work about 35 hours a week and am home for lunch. I have most weekends off and typically a day off somewhere in the middle of the week as well. While I work 11a-7pm and am home usually 3-4 for lunch, my girlfriend is typically home at 5pm for the rest of the evening. Even with this schedule, I would ideally like to only watch dogs on days I am completely off so I can give them my full attention. I can be very flexible with scheduling, willing to travel to your place, and open to setting up long term set schedules. I live in a 2 bedroom house with a relatively small, fenced in back yard. The yard is without a doubt big enough for some awesome games of fetch but if needed, the Bentonville dog park is just on the other side of Crystal Bridges from me. Memorial Park is also a quick walk away for some good stick searching and squirrel watching.
