I started with a dog when I was younger at about the age of 12. We named him Sparky and loved him. He's still alive and lives with my aunt who cares for him because I live in apartments. I spent several years taking care of my dog. After Sparky, I got a fish because apartments cost extra to have pets but if I could I'd have two dogs and a cat in my apartment with me. My experience with my dog is pretty good. Every day I took him on two walks, one in the morning and one at night. We had a huge backyard that he ran around in and we played with him after school. For grooming every two weeks we cut his nails, gave him baths, cut his hair, and brush the remaining hair out. He loved getting brushed. We fed him twice a day and when he gained too much weight we brought that food level down and walked him more.
