Attentive, personalized, and reliable pet lover ❤️ I am a graduate of NYU with degrees in music and visual arts. I am passionate about animals, and believe that pets are valuable members of our families. I take the responsibility of caring for animals very seriously. When it comes to our furry friends, I prioritize the safety, happiness, and comfort of each animal. I have extensive experience with pets: -Adoption Counselor at the Animal Care Center shelter -dog walker with Wag -cat mom for 15 years -freelance dog walker and cat sitter with my pet care business Native Tongue -previously a Retail Sales Associate at PetSmart -medication administration (oral and subcutaneous) -pet photoshoots -cat boarding -volunteering at animal shelter (which I now work at) I’ve loved being a pet care worker because I get to meet a lot of animals, each with their own quirks and cute noses. Cats can be so picky and particular, but I always figure out a common language with them and provide them with my best loving care. It's important to understand each cat's specific needs and preferences. As for dogs, some dogs are simply confused by the concept of being walked and take a lot of artful coercion on my part in order to be walked sufficiently. Others, equally lovable, joyfully strut ahead, and, together, we accept the generous compliments of enamored pedestrians. Whatever pet you have, I promise I will love them and make sure they have a great time with me.

Polina is amazing! Our sweet girl Daphne does not have the best leash manners, is always scavenging for food and is nervous around other dogs. Polina came in with so much background knowledge and strategies that I instantly felt comfortable and at ease. She is incredibly observant of the environment around her and takes preventive steps, which I so appreciate. The walks are always for the full time and she takes Daphne on new and interesting routes. Daphne loves her as much as we do, and she takes the best pictures of her! We look forward to continuing with Polina :-)

I always walk in slowly while securing the door, because, as we all know, we do have some escape artists. I'm familiar with different types of collars and harnesses and doublecheck their security after I put them on. I always take photos of vomit and unusual excrement and send them to pet parents to make sure we're able to catch any issue as early as possible. If your household is no-shoes, I will always respect that. Lastly, I'm VERY watchful for the gross things on the ground, like bones and wrappers and whatnot, and I know how to safely remove the item from your pet's mouth before they get swallow it.

Let me know of any triggers or preferences, as well as favorite places to walk. If you want me to play with them a bit at home before or after coming back, let me know! And I will definitely feed them or refill their water bowl at your request.
A typical day
At your request, I can make sure we don't take the same route twice. I can walk at a pace you suggest; for example, if you would like your dog to get extra exercise, I can encourage your dog to walk briskly, or if you have a senior dog who requires special attention, I will always provide that.
