Dog-Loving Elementary Teacher
Pet care experience
I have grown up with and around dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Hawaii, I had 2 lab mixes who I loved and adored. In college, when I was old enough to have my own fur baby, I got to love and care for a chihuahua fox terrier. I absolutely love dogs and am very comfortable with them, whether that involves taking them on walks, to the park, bathing them, or just having some quality cuddle time. I love to take my two dogs (a lab-terrier mix and a husky-shepherd mix) to our local dog park and on hikes and would love to do the same for yours! I'm a full-time second grade teacher in the North Valley and have an enormous heart for both fur and human babies.

I would like to know if your dog is social or shy, if there are things that tend to make your four-legged kiddo anxious or nervous. I would also like to know what your dog's energy level is - I've had experience taking care of dogs with varying energy levels, from being a couch potato and wanting to nap the day away, to my husky mix who would love to just run around the dog park all day long! Being a teacher makes me very sensitive to the needs of students with hardships or difficult backgrounds, and I would be more than able to provide that same care to your beloved animals.
A typical day
With any added instructions you give me, I would love to take your fur babies to the dog park, on hikes, or on a walk around the neighborhood. My favorite place to walk dogs is along the Bosque just outside of the Rio Grande Nature Center! The apartment complex I live in also has a small, fenced-in dog run for quick games of fetch and all potty breaks.
