Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When other kids were reading superhero books in the library, I was studying the dog breed encyclopaedia. My first dogs were an Irish Setter and a Labrador, both with whom I grew up together with. I began show handling training at the age of 8, and by the age of 10, I was competing nationally at various dog exhibitions as a junior handler. On top of this, I picked up obedience training and dog grooming. I have been lucky enough to learn all of my current skills and knowledge from some of the most respected professional handlers and top breeders in Europe. Since I always felt like (and still feel like) there is so much more to learn, I have completed two courses on dog nutrition and dog cognition/behaviour - both which I passed with high-scoring exam results. I have since continued nurturing my passion for dogs by conducting private and group dog training for both show handling as well as for general obedience on top of handling for breeders at exhibitions across the UK & Europe. Additionally, I work part-time as a customer consultant and and an assistant dog groomer in a dog boutique. All in all, I believe that my extensive experience with a variety of breeds ranging from Chihuahuas to Tibetan Mastiffs provides me with a wide skillset to understand and handle different temperaments, behaviours, and ultimately cater to all needs. I have also successfully passed a dog first aid course and presently own a dog with epilepsy (who lives with my family at the moment) which makes me experienced in handling difficult health issues that can pose stress to many owners. By one of my own dogs having epilepsy, I have invested lots of time into researching epilepsy and its trigger points all the way to food nutrition in relation to the illness. I am keen to share my love for all things dogs with the rest of the world and thus am more than excited to provide services such as dog boarding, day care and dog walking to make your dog's tail wag and bring a smile to your face too. I work part-time in the pet industry but I have time and space to accommodate accordingly to the owner's needs. I am flexible with scheduling and can always attempt to configure plans. Since my own dogs live with my family,I have no dogs of my own living with me. In my flat, I have a living room and a bedroom and a small fenced terrace. I live in an area with plenty of parks and I keep a doggy care kit in my place at all times, including: toys, treats, a leash, probiotics, vitamin paste, dog first aid (leucillin), some grooming brushes/tools and bowls. I am comfortable with administering any oral medication that may be required and am also comfortable with dealing with any health issues that may arise. I always prioritise the wellbeing of the dogs over everything and ensure that the owner can rest assured when their dogs are in my care.
