This was Elke's first overnight with Phyllis and both seemed happy the next day, when I picked up my dog. I would definitely book Phyllis again. She cared about Elke's comfort and well-being, while keeping a sense of order and balance in her home.
I cannot thank Phyllis enough for taking great care of my dog. I appreciated the pictures she sent every day while our dog was with her. Our dog seemed to get comfortable in her home in no time. Our flight ran late and Phyllis let us pick our dog up early the next morning. Phyllis responds quickly to text messages. Thanks again Phyllis!
Phyllis was absolutely the best host for our Pug! She has a very clean, dog-friendly home, with a great large fenced backyard. Phyllis was very conscientious about making our dog feel comfortable and at home. She paid close attention to matching the feeding, medicine and walking needs that our dog was used to, and sent daily updates and pictures that reassured us that all was well. I highly recommend Phyllis!
Dogs recognize me as a dog lover
I adopted a mixed breed 6 month old homeless dog in my early 20's. We had 16 years together and she was the love of my life. I learned about medicating when necessary and how to take care of her in the various stages of her life.
Recently I spent a number of years being a daytime sitter to a friend's dog while he completed school. That made me want more dog time. More recently ...
What Phyllis would like to know about your dog
I have no breed preferences, but size is important to me. I'd like to be able to pick up any dog in my care in the event it would become necessary, so I lean toward small dogs. I'm small, myself. If your dog has any specific personality "oddities," it's helpful to know about them in advance. And it's great to have a dog who is responsive to basic commands like "Here, boy." I don't administer IQ tests, tho.
