I'm a huge dog lover who recently adopted a very friendly pup who loves playmates. In a former life I was trained veterinary technician and I have pups of my own from small to large -- all of whom led incredibly spoiled lives. I've worked as a foster volunteer for Ahimsa House which requires a passed background check. I love long walks and endless games of catch. I won't put myself or your dog in any potentially risky situations. I'm reliable, a clear communicator and have excellent references. Why Rover? I have a freelance job that often takes me out of town for weeks at a time so having my own dog is currently not possible. Hanging with your four legged baby helps fill my own pet longing when I have down time.

Our dog seemed very happy and comfortable in the photos Phoebe sent, and she came home calm and seemed like she had a chance to get plenty of her energy out the day we picked her up, which was great. Phoebe took her on a little day trip which I'm sure our dog loved. Phoebe was also really nice working with us when we had to change the meet-and-greet date due to us getting Covid. She could have bailed but she stuck it out. We were better by the time she watched our dog, but it was right after we had Covid and a short notice cancelation would have put us in a bind so we really appreciated her understanding.

I have a huge soft spot for chihuahuas and chow-chows but really...how do you meet a dog you don't like? I would like to know how your pup generally plays with others and what their triggers are (my chihuahua could not let a cyclist go by unchased, my chow...did not play well with others)
A typical day
I like to start the day with a good 30 min walk. We have lots of friendly people and dogs in the neighborhood who like to say hello.

Availability
I currently work from home so I’m in the house essentially from 9-5p so mid-day potty breaks or walks are no problem. I have a partner who also has a flexible schedule and is often home if I have to run out.
