Pet care experience
Growing up as a child on a huge Indian Reservation, I have always had dogs in my life and it seems they truly understand me, as I do them. It's been my dream to be a "professional" dog walker for several years and now that I am here in Laguna Beach it just seems appropriate that I pursue that Dream with everything I've got! I regularly walk my Aussie/Border Collie STAR around town and have really come to know the hills, beaches and super groovy neighborhoods that offer the BEST WALKS and most satisfying canine experience, including The Dog Tub on Coast Highway. Given the chance, I would love to provide the TLC your furry friend and companion needs, even when your busy schedule takes you away.

Phillip has stayed at my home with my large dog on 2 occasions. He walks her 2 times a day and gives her lots of scratching and attention. He knows how to administer her medication, needed twice daily. If you are looking for a conscientious, kind, tender caregiver for your dog, I highly recommend Phillip.
Without Question- Phillip is truly one of the best at this I’ve ever used. Always Prompt Professional and willing to go above and beyond for a Dog who needs a little extra attention. I would Highly recommend him.

Presently, my Sole Client trusts me with the pass code and door codes to drop-in and stay overnight in her beautiful oceanfront home while she is out of town so her girl Lua is neither lonely nor lacking in exercise and companionship. As a responsible adult, I am absolutely fastidious about double checking every door, every Gate and every lock as I come and go, ensuring both that Lua has fresh water, all droppings are picked up and disposed of, and the home is secure.

Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any special quirks or conditions I should be aware of prior to out time together. For instance, my dog Star, being a 12 year old Aussie/Border Collie is really sweet for the most part, BUT can be snappy with puppies and females...knowing this, I tighten his leash ahead of time and speak super positively as we approach any such dogs. It seems to really make a difference to him to hear the kindness in my voice, for the approaching puppy or girl dog.
A typical day
I really enjoy the hills, canyons and beaches here in Laguna and I find that the dogs I walk with really seem to enjoy the myriad scents and sounds of Nature as well. I've got a decent arm and love throwing the ball, or a good stick or favorite toy around as well. Because exercise is so very important and necessary for both ourselves and our pets, I promise to keep your pooch moving, smiling and enjoying their time outdoors safely and happily. Bluebird Canyon is a favorite place for me to walk both at Sunrise and Sunset. And of course Heisler Park is spectacular at both times and also offers plenty of interaction for dogs to say hi and practice social skills.

Availability
After an intense year of full time Management of the local carwash, I am now working Part Time, in the evenings, which allows me PLENTY of time to spend with you furry family members when you are unable to. Being an early riser and an avid Morning Person I love to walk for miles every morning, and evenings I often accompany my partner on her dog walks too! *(she also is a dog walker) As a father of 2 young boys, I KNOW how busy life gets. I also know that our beloved Furbabies STILL require exercise, play and affection no matter the weather, our calendars or the myriad of life's little emergencies. Thankfully, I keep my calendar clear, that I may more fully enjoy and appreciate all of the Natural Splendor that Laguna Beach has to offer.
