I’m an active, work-from-home dog lover looking for daily playmates for my dog, an energetic 4.5-year-old German Short-Haired Pointer named Winston! In terms of hosting, I work from home as a filmmaker, writer, photographer, and artist with a flexible schedule. (Please feel free to check out my company Wool Hat Creative at www<dot>woolhatcreative<dot>com.) So, I can be available at different times during the day for drop-offs, pickups, and dog care. I have a fully fenced-in grassy backyard with plenty of shade and a dog door making it easy for me to host dogs. I keep the dog door closed when it’s raining or snowing to keep the dirty paw tracks inside to a minimum. If I need to close the dog door, I’ll let the dogs out every couple of hours at least. I do let my dog up on one couch by the window, but no other furniture. Also, I’m happy to send text and pic updates periodically throughout your dog’s stay if desired and I stay mostly available by phone, email, etc. While hosting your dog, I’ll be happy to take all the dogs on walks, play fetch, supervise, etc. as time allows and I’ll never take my dog anywhere without your dog such as on to Cherry Creek or on hikes unless instructed otherwise. There may occasionally be another dog present from another owner. If that were the case, I would ensure that everyone meets beforehand to ensure a smooth stay. I’ve got 1 dog-loving roommate that live in the house that may help from time to time. Lastly, I will require seeing proof of vaccinations and spay/neuter and require an emergency Vet contact for your dog in the case of an emergency before agreeing to host. So, between Winston, the pesky squirrels, and me, your dog will be comfortable and surely won’t get bored. That about sums it up. Hope to hear from you!
