Pet care experience
My wife and I recently moved to a new home in the Franklin Park neighborhood, just a short walk from Franklin Park's great walking paths, as well as Wolfe Park and the Alum Creek Trail. It is a great location for dogs. I have a sweet medium mixed-breed named Josey Wales who loves to play with other pups, and we take a lot of walks in the neighborhood, the park, and trails nearby. We have a fenced yard, but we love to take trips to the dog park for some extra play time! I work full time, but only 2 miles away so trips back home mid-day are easy and I can provide extra potty breaks and play time on a flexible schedule. I am also able to provide mid-day and early evening walks depending on my schedule at work, and would be happy to make arrangements to take care of your pups! My wife's family has a beautiful boxer named Ellie, and while she typically lives with Katie's parents in Clintonville, she often comes over for playdates and sleepovers - I will always make sure to let you know if we plan to have Ellie at our house as well.

Phil and Katie were fantastic with Bear. When you aren't able to travel with your dog, you want to leave them in a place where you don't feel the need to constantly worry about them. You want them to be in a place where you feel like they will be loved and well-taken care of. Phil and Katie provided an environment that did those things. I got plenty of photo updates, and I knew from the photos that Bear was having a great time. They took the time to learn about Bear's routine, and they asked lots of great questions to ensure that Bear had a successful trip.
Phil is super responsive and the pups loved him. He did an amazing job with all three.

It is helpful for me to know if your dogs tend to be dominant or submissive when meeting new dogs, just to make sure I know what to expect when introducing dogs to Josey Wales. Josey is a fun-loving and sweet dog, but occasionally when excited and restrained on her leash, she gets very vocal and her barking can seem aggressive. When introduced in a lower-stress environment, she is usually submissive at first.
A typical day
Walks around our neighborhood are great, because there are a lot of other people and dogs out and about to meet, and we have so many parks and trails close by! After a walk and some dinner, it's great to enjoy some down time with toys and treats at home.
