Looking for a home away from home for your dog? I offer "in our home" care for your best friend while you are away from yours. You will be entrusting your dog to an animal welfare professional who spent the past 11 years in the service of our local Humane Society. I have the experience and resources to handle the natural anxiety all animals feel when they are away from their owners and their home. I will make sure your dog is safe and as happy as he or she can be while you are apart. Your dog will enjoy free access to my large home and fenced-yard, leash walks around our quiet dog-friendly neighborhood (if desired), playtime and lots of cuddles. I have a house full of fun toys, cozy beds and lots of love to go around. My days and nights are completely devoted to the dogs in my care. I am with them 24/7. In my house the dogs are allowed on the beds and furniture, if you have a "no pets on the furniture" rule at home I will maintain that rule for your pet during their stay with me. Does your dog need things at odd times? No problem... tell me what your dog's schedule is and I will maintain that while they stay with me. I recognize the importance of routine in a dog's life and strive to maintain those comforts for each animal in my care. I have two dogs of my own as you will see in my profile. My two Chihuahuas are both senior citizens and tolerate new dogs by simply going along and doing their own thing after a little sniffing and some "getting to know you" circles. I do require a pre-boarding meet & greet for larger dogs to be considered for day and/or overnight care to make sure they do not see my dogs or cats as prey. This is a natural and instinctual reaction for dogs and in some cases can be managed safely, though not always. I handle this on a case-by-case basis hence the need for the complimentary meet & greet. I do accept small breed puppies for daycare and boarding. I am not able to accommodate large breed puppies under 10 months old. In my experience they are just not a good match for my home and other pets.
