Pet care experience
I have had a dog my whole life. They truly are man's best friend. Now that I live away from my family's dog, I realize how important dogs are in providing companionship. I would be honored to look after and care for your best friend, aka your dog. I have also be caring for neighbors' dogs since I was 13 years old. I know what it takes to care for and look after your pup. From ensuring correct food portions at dinner time, to giving them time to play outside, to making sure they are comfortable when they go to sleep, I am able to flexibly cater to your and your dog's specific needs. I am responsible, energetic, and prompt. I am currently a researcher at a local university and deal with people all day. They are, more often than not, more difficult to deal with than most dogs! Our adopted dog came to us blind, with no vocal cords, and as a senior. She needs a routine and patience. Oftentimes, she gets stressed with new caretakers and has trouble if she is off-schedule. I have asked friends and family to watch her and she is always rattled. Peter was amazing. I came back from a 12-day trip with a perfectly happy dog (and cat!) and no issues with the house. It was clear from the demeanor of both animals that Peter actually spent time with them and cared for them well. It was as if I had only been gone for the work day. I travel a lot and can honestly say that has never happened before. Peter is kind and thoughtful and a true animal lover. I strongly recommend him!
We had another great, carefree petsit with Peter. This was our third and, this time, he stayed with just our incredibly needy cat because we took the dog to Tahoe. Peter sent pictures and updates while we were gone, our cat had a lap to sit on, and we enjoyed a relaxing weekend away.
Peter was wonderful - I needed a sitter in a pinch and he responded quickly. He left my place tidy, sent me pictures and updates, and was timely and responsible in all our interactions. I was able to have a great weekend because I knew Samson was in good hands!
Peter spent two nights at our house with our dog and cat, and he was great! He sent pictures, updated us each day on how things were going, and left the house spotless. We'd definitely be happy to have Peter petsit for us again.
