When I was a child, I loved hanging out with my friends' dogs. We didn't have a dog at home, but I felt a very close emotional connection to dogs in general. When I went to college, I would walk my land lady's two rottweilers. They were a dynamic duo, and I loved watching them express their different personalities. In my early twenties, I moved in with a roommate who had a long-haired dachsund named Henry. After gaining his trust, Henry became my more or less constant companion. My roommate was almost always out of the house so I took care of all of his needs. He was a lovable little fellow. I don't live with Henry anymore, but I still love spending time with dogs whenever I get the chance!
