Loving and Easygoing Care!

Pet care experience

Pete has more than ten years of experience raising and caring for dogs. Currently, he has a rescued German Shepard dog named Dean who loves to play and nap and play some more. Experience handling dogs with separation anxiety, aggressive breeds/tendencies, dogs with medical needs, puppies and older dogs, happy to discuss any specialized situations as well. I work in a hybrid environment and would set up my work to be home when watching your pup! If it's a house sitting situation, I can can be flexible to whatever arrangement works for you (working from your house, half days, or coming over after work)! Working remotely gives me plenty of flexibility to take pups on walks, head to the dog park, play in your yard, whatever the normal routine is that you’d like to have continued in your absence! I'm a clean and tidy person, you’ll have the place just as you left it with a smiling pup on your return and am happy to give frequent and honest updates on how your dog is doing. Having my own pup, it's a part of my daily life. We live right on a multi use trail so I'm frequently going on walks, heading to the local dog park or open space, etc. I provide daily medications to my own as well as regular brushing/nail clipping. I'm more than happy to do the same for yours! Safety, comfort, and cleanliness are the biggest priorities. Tracking their behaviors, making sure they are fed, bathroom breaks are squared away, exercise has happened, etc. Dean took a long time to get trained up to where he is now - I'm extremely versed in working in easy, happy, floppy dogs as well as more high maintenance breeds.

Information Peter G. would like to know about your pet

Any information about food guarding or resource guarding, any past experience or concerns about aggression toward other dogs, and any medical issues or physical activity limitations will help to adapt my typical day to meet your dog's needs.

A typical day

I live right on the river trail by the Brunswick Dam, so typically I'll take Dean out on a 3-4mi loop after work, and occasionally will head over to the Brunswick Dog Park. If I'm working from home, he's usually laying around in the same room as me until we get to exercise time (with frequent breaks for tricks, treats, and bathroom trips). Intermix a bunch of scratchin, romping around with toys, and time snuggled up on the couch and you've got a pretty much perfect view into our days.
