Vet Student-Dog adoring couple!

Pet care experience

My wife Carissa and I have owned dogs for all our lives and began dog walking and house sitting in our teenage years. Originally from California I grew up with a home of dogs and aspirations to become a veterinarian. My wife Carissa grew up fostering shelter animals and nursing sick and abandoned puppies in Las Vegas. We both share a deep passion for dogs and their well being. I am a 2nd year veterinary student and have also worked as a Vet Tech for 2 years where Carissa is a business student, former Vet Clinic Manager and Vet Tech. With our two huskies we compete in sled dog sports such as skijoring, bikejoring, and canicross. Our family philosophy is "A tired dog is a happy dog!" Once I become a veterinarian I hope to specialize in sporting dogs and work to help injured dogs return to competition fitness and Carissa will work as our practice manager ensuring that clients and their pets have a worry free experience knowing their animals will be in the best care. Your dogs will receive the upmost care with us while you are away. Proper exercise and maintained health are among our top priorities.

These guys are seriously amazing! My Ruby seems to love them so much! They provided plenty of photos on their walks every day and kept me updated! I felt super comfortable trusting them with Ruby and would 100% recommend them to anyone!?

Peter and Carissa are excellent at pet sitting. Not only do they give your dogs and other critters the best possible care, but f-up with photos and videos in a timely manner. You do not have to ever worry about your pets with these two taking care of them. I will use them again.

I’m so glad we found Peter and Carissa! We really didn’t want to leave our lil half-blind pup and were worried about trusting others with her medication, but they were AMAZING about it. After we got back, our pups didn’t even act like we were gone, which

Information Peter & Carissa W. would like to know about your pet

We would like to know the general personalities and fitness levels of each dog. This will help us personalize each visit according to the dog's needs.

A typical day

Exercise We will tailor each visit according to the dog. Dogs that can not handle strenuous exercise will receive mild daily walks around the neighborhood for a distance that suits their capabilities. Moderately athletic dogs will receive daily exercise by way of hikes or jogs ranging in distances from 1-10 miles according to their abilities. Dogs that are in need of extreme exercise could be candidates for bikejoring with us (1 dog/bike dryland dog sledding) as we compete and am experienced in this sport with our own two huskies. Training We will engage each dog not only physically but also mentally. We will work on basic obedience and tricks that the dog has previously learned (We are not trainers) so as to have physical and mental stimulation while the family is away. Parks If dogs are socially adept, we will also take them to the dog park to enjoy time with their friends.
