Hi there, I am a lifelong dog lover who finally was able to get her own pup at the age of 32. Maya is a 100-lb Anatolian Shepherd, and having her as part of my life has taught me a LOT about dogs and dog training.

We have a half acre fully fenced yard with lots of privacy and dog loving neighbors. Our house has a dog door with access to the outside. My dog is always at home.

How well behaved are they? Do they freak out when they see other people/dogs/cats/etc? Medications, health problems to be aware of? Do they come when they are called? No breed preferences.
A typical day
During the week: runs or walks, or the dog park if your dog is well trained/socialized. Weekends: Runs/walks, hikes! I've taken dogs to Cougar Mountain and other trails before. I would also be happy to go on longer day/overnight hikes with your dog (provided they're in shape or used to that kind of thing).

Availability
I walk Maya about once a day, and bring her on trails or to the dog park at least 1-2 times a week. Otherwise she is chasing squirrels/rabbits in our yard or standing guard, which is what she was bred for.
