Your pal will be pampered w/ me!

Pet care experience

About this sitter: I was raised with big dogs, along with cats, and was a veterinary assistant many moons ago (I teach college these days). I've never met a dog yet that I couldn't handle. I've also never met a cat who wouldn't warm up to me. They recognize animal lovers! I am also a cat, hen and toad owner, so feeding live insects is no problem for your feathered or scaled friend, along with the normal stuff for your furred friends. I have a large fenced side yard, with both shade and sun, in a safe neighborhood, as well as a secure back yard. I don't let small dogs into the side yard without me there. Animals will stay most of the time in my house when I have to go to work. But I will come give them potty breaks a.s.a.p. both during the day and night, and they will get walks around my neighborhood at least 3-4 times a day. I am also a professional dog walker currently, along with a former veterinary assistant. I am experienced in giving vaccines, along with medications orally to both dogs and cats. I am a responsible, reliable, mature individual. Why I love dog sitting I have always been an animal lover, and grew up with big dogs, along with cats. I was a veterinary assistant for several different vets over the years in the past, and am experienced in giving vaccines, liquid and pill/tablet type medicines to both dogs and cats. Meet my pets We have 2 cats, 2 toads, and 2 hens. The dogs will likely only have contact with the cats. My cats particularly like mellow dogs and/or ones who are cat friendly. About my yard I have a back yard that is gated off and has a coupe with 2 hens in it, and a side yard that is fenced in and surrounded by rose bushes. The side yard has grass and trees and bushes. The dogs who board are usually fascinated by the hens, but I don't let them out while the dogs are boarding! My experience administering medication Yes, see above.

Penny was a great sitter for my dog! We did a meet and greet before to make sure it felt like a good fit. She sent me a picture and updates every other day while I was away. Will have my dog stay with her again when I’m away!

Penny thank you once again for taking such great care of these boys! I know for sure who I’ll continue to go to when I’m going out of town!

Information Penny V. would like to know about your pet

I am open to all breeds. I would want to know how the animal gets along with other animals, along with people outside his/her family, including children. I have two cats, so they should be cat-friendly. I can sit multiple pets, up to 3-4 depending if small, 2+ if large. I don't take puppies that are not yet house-broken

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I walk dogs around my neighborhood, and sometimes (if they are sociable) take them on walks with another small dog I regularly walk 2x per week. I may take them to the park if I am there for an event. My teenaged son likes to play with them too. Your dog's sleeping arrangement In the house either in his/her own bed, if provided, or in which ever room the dog prefers, such as mine or my son's or the living room or den. There are couches in both those two rooms. Time I'll spend with your dog If the animal is boarding with me, I will be with him or her when I am not at work, and try to walk dogs 3 times a day when I am sitting them at my house. I also let them out into the back or side yard regularly. I only sit house-broken dogs. I give frequent walks, but the animals stay inside the heated/air conditioned house the rest of the time, with my two cats, so they should be cat-friendly.
