Hello, I am Penny, and I want your dog to feel COMFORTABLE !!!! The BEST way is for me and my dogs to meet yours during a meet and greet. I have undergone advanced screening, and my home has been inspected. I am home full time. I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals! I was a Zookeeper for 29 years and have also worked with horses , dog rescue and Doggy Day Cares and the Colorado Division of Wildlife. My B.S. in Zoology also included many credits in Animal Behavior. There has never been a time in my life that I did not have a dog. I also founded the Weimaraner Rescue here in Colorado. Now I am home full time. I currently share my home with my 2 Weimaraners : Hope 10 and Nellie 1. They've been doing this with me as well. They prefer dogs that are smaller than they are. They also defend smaller dogs. Nellie is energetic and Hope is an ex-puppy mill mom , both adopted. We have a large grassy fenced back yard. There is plenty of room to run and play or just relax in the shade. And evil squirrels to bark at! I have no problem administering medication. Having worked as a zookeeper for years I have experience administering medication. I just ask that you give me specific instructions. We have plenty of dog dishes, beds and blankets. I only ask for enough food for your dog's stay. I also ask for an emergency contact not travelling with you. updated December 2020.
