Hello my name is Penny Lee I have been an advocate for Suncoast Animal League a local no kill shelter . In 2013 I ran for honorary mayor of Palm Harbor raising money and awareness for the SunCoast Animal League and the Palm Harbor chamber . With the help of friends we created five fundraising community events.Last September Suncoast Animal League rescued 23 dogs from a Alabama home hoarding 68 dogs in.a puppy mill environment. I went out in the pouring rain to support the efforts of Suncoast animal league were heart warming . Behind a local restaurant they had groomers and vets and many volunteers with pens set up for each dog in preparation for these dogs to transition into a new life . I remember seeing one dog nestle his or her head so tightly in the rescues shoulder . I said to the volunteer" aww the family that has that puppy loves is going to be blessed with a lot of love " , The doggy looked at me and I noticed a cataract in his or her eye. They told me all the dogs were adopted . The following Saturday I went to petsmart where Suncoast Animal league holds there adoptions. As I turned around the corner o saw this little white smiling bouncy dog with a cataract in his or her eye. It was the dog I saw the week before at the rescue I felt it was a sign I meant to be the family with this puppy loves . I named her Molly she sat so right beside me on the ride home . I took her to the vet right away other than an ear infection and received all her shots needed other than that she got. Clean bill of health . I then took her to the groomer so she would feel good . She learned potty training pretty quickly . I got her a crate with a bed and sometimes I find her cuddled in there with the door open it is like her private sanctuary her private apartment :) She gets along really well with other dogs . I take her to the parks to play with other dogs too , I am planning a 2 day trip I met with a dog sitter and we agreed Molly met her and the other 5 dogs. Molly just had a ball . It occured to me Molly is lonely for the companion of other dogs . That is where I thought dog vacay would be fun for all !!
