Pet care experience
I grew up with both dogs and cats and have had several of each. We had two large dogs for 11 years Clients find me responsible, caring and careful to follow their directions. I enjoy talking to dogs and cats, treating them as a four legged friends who need companionship and love like we do, while maintaining the environment their human has created for them. Cats are special, really independent and curious, ones we've had always enjoying a snuggle. I am available before 10a and after 7 p.m on weeknights to feed/ walk your dog(s). To make sure I am available, ideally book me a week ahead of your need. I will take last minute requests, however cannot guarantee I can take them on. I prefer to work in the Santa Cruz area. I think you will find me an ideal carer for your beloved companion. I enjoy my work!

Penelope was an awesome house sitter for my two rowdy young dogs. Chico chewed his paw while I was gone and she cleaned his boo boo with medical spray and applied medical healing balm for him so it was mostly healed when I returned. She gave detailed and regular updates and pictures and asked questions or notified me of situations as needed. She sorted the mail and kept the house neat and took care of my 3 fish aquariums too. She let my small guy sleep in bed with her so he missed us less and was patient with my big boy’s anxiety accidents inside since it was his first time without us. She kept a good schedule and played and cuddled with the boys multiple times a day. Penny is perfect!
Penny did an excellent job caring for our cat while we were away for a 1 1/2 weeks. She was easy to communicate with, professional and down to earth. She gave us updates and pictures with every visit. Highly recommend and will ask for her next time I need a pet sitter.
Penelope is a very loving and caring person by nature. Not only our dogs bonded with her, but our baby bonded with her immediately as well. Penny follows our care instructions for our dogs and was diligent with our house as well. She sent me photos and gave me updates daily, and she even watered our plants for us. Selfishly, I hope she doesn't become too popular and too hard to book in the future :)
Penny is my go-to person when I need someone to stop in and check the pups. Our 75 lb Airedale can be a bit of a challenge but she handles him. Anybody with a terrier knows what I mean when I say she has earned her "alpha" points. Rusty's reaction when he sees her is also important to me, the tail shows how much he loves her. Not everybody gets that from him. It is nice to have somebody I know, that I can trust with my dogs.

Availability
I work part time Tuesday through Friday so I am available those days from 7a to 9:30a and at night 7p to 9p. Saturday and Sunday I have open availability and Monday I do volunteer work, however it is flexible so I can adjust or cancel it if needed.
