Pet care experience
My wife and I rescued Lizzy when she was 4 month old pitbull, from a shelter a few years ago during the Camp Fires. We’ve trained her since we’ve gotten her to be a kind, friendly and well-behaved dog loved by everyone in the neighbourhood. Prior to Lizzy, Ive had pets my whole life, two dogs (Pearl, a Boston Terrier, and Zoe, a Frenchie/Boston mix) for 10+ years when living in Toronto. I love taking pet photos, and would be happy to take professional photos of your pets as well while we hang out. I used to be a professional wedding photographer, and still use my equipment for photos of my friend's pets to get some really unique shots. I'd be happy to share some of my work with you if you're interested. The house has a fenced in backyard where the dogs can play, or they can sit inside near the fireplace to settle down on a rainy day. There’s great walks and hikes just up the street or a short drive to Deer Park for some great views and sniffs.

Pedram and his wife Claudia were great with my dog. Communicative and easy to work with. I didn’t need anything fancy in terms of training or special instructions since my dog is relatively low-maintenance, so Pedram is a great fit for our needs. Poka loved playing with their dog Lizzy. Our home has a fully fenced yard and the dogs are never unsupervised even when outside. When boarding, I like to meet prior to the day off so our dogs can meet each other first, and go on a short walk together. Inside the home, we have a cat who is very good with Lizzy, but if your dog is not great with cats we do have a baby gate we can install in the kitchen for short visits to keep him safe.

Knowing temperament is always helpful. I’m a very calming influence for many anxious dogs. Any prior experiences with both dogs and cats, as well as dietary restrictions , the level of obedience training and the commands they know. I tend to use marker commands, like “yes” and “good” so if you have similar commands that would be great as well.
A typical day
A typical day involves several walks, the shortest ones are a mile long around the neighborhood during the day, but a daily 3 mile hike after work is a must as well along Forest Ave. On weekends we love to go down to Deer Park and spend a few hours on the many trails there.

Availability
I work from home during the day, five days a week, and can take plenty of time between meetings for walks. At most there may be an hour or two where I am in meetings but the dogs tend to love to just sleep in the background of my calls.
