Hi! Im Paulina. Im in my late twenties, employed, and I enjoy spending time with friends/ family, as well as doing outdoor activities such as biking and hiking. Ive had a compassion for animals from a young age and I raised a beautiful toy poodle for 15 years. I have experience taking care of pets of family, friends, and community members (various breeds, ages, personalities, and needs). I live in a safe residential neighborhood in NW DC in a home with a yard. I love animals and would treat your pet as if it were my own! Im also fully vaccinated.

Paulina was wonderful with our 3 year old Portie, Fern. Fern is a little shy at the outset, but Paulina has such a gentle manner and I could tell pretty quickly that Fern was going to be comfortable with her. Paulina was so accommodating of our last-minute request, even though she typically hosts smaller pups, and she was very flexible when our flight was cancelled and our whole trip had to be shifted by a day on either end. She sent cute videos every day of our vacation, and it was clear that Fern was happy and felt totally at home. Paulina is a great communicator and couldn't be nicer! We hope to be repeat customers!
Paulina took such great care of our dog. She was super patient with him in dealing with some stress and guarding issues when we first dropped him off. She called us to get our input on how to best calm him down and after he got comfortable, she made him feel right at home - we could tell because she sent pictures and videos throughout the stay.
We felt very at ease leaving our dog with Paulina - she is clearly kind and loves dogs! She sent photos and videos throughout the weeks d it was clear our dog was happy in them and when we picked her up!
Paulina was response, straightforward to work with and great with our dog.

The dog is permitted on both floors and furniture as long as she/ he arrives clean. There is someone else living in my home who equally loves dogs and can help out if needed. If you have preferences of how you wish me to care for your dog, I will respect and follow.

I prefer a dog that does not shed much, and one that is well potty-trained. It would be helpful to know a dogs typical schedule before they stay with me, as I will try to replicate that schedule as much as possible. I also would like to know any of the dogs triggers or pre-existing medical conditions.
A typical day
I live in a very safe residental and traffic- free neighborhood with clean large sidewalks, where I will take the dog on frequent walks. There are several grass areas and parks nearby which I could take your pup if desired. I have pet toys and welcome you to bring any favorite toys of your pet as well— I defenitely enjoy playing with dogs and give my total attention!

Availability
Im currently working from home which allows me to take the dog out multiple times throughout the day. I would be happy to take the dog out with me to the park or to run errands or outings, if permitted by the owner.
