I love to shower cats and dogs with plenty of affection and TLC. I have owned cats my whole life and I have owned a dog for ten years. I have experience with bathing and grooming cats and dogs. I have a nursing background and I am comfortable with administrating medications. I graduated from Adelphi University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. During the Meet and Greet I am extremely diligent with taking notes of dog/cat care. Also, I feel that interacting with your pet during a M &G is very important to make sure having me petsit your dog or cat will be a good fit. If your pet is very shy during the M&G, that is fine. I am very patient when it comes to anxious pets. I will only accept clients in the 23238/23233 zip,codes in order to spend minimal time traveling between clients. Also, for clients with over 3 pets, my per visit rate is increased to $18/visit for 30 min and $25/visit for 60 min. Holiday rates are slightly higher. I have had twelve + years experience as a dog walker/ pet sitter of dogs, cats, and ferrets at the owner's home in the West end of Henrico. I was a former volunteer at the Richmond SPCA in the areas of dog/cat grooming and dog walking as of November 2014. I currently own seven cats, two are indoor/outdoor cats. I love dogs and cats dearly and couldn't image a world without them. ****Please make note that I can only accept dogs weighing less then 30 pounds for dog walks**** This ensures my control of your leashed dog at all times during their walk. If your dog relieves himself/herself in your fenced in backyard, I can accept clients with dogs weighing over 30 pounds. I am meticulous when it comes to picking up dog poop on your property and during walks in your neighborhood. I always carry extra plastic bags. On warm days I carry extra water and a portable dog bowl. Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs for 20 years. I purchased my first dog back in 1997 and was very devoted to her. I cared for her for ten years before she passed away. She was a sweet hearted medium sized hound mix. She had special needs and I patiently attended to her occasional quirks. I have over a dozen regular clients that need pet sitting services at random days. Generally speaking if you contact me a few weeks before your vacation, I can most likely fit you in my schedule. On not so busy days, I can accept bookings at short notice. I accept bookings on a first come, first serve basis. I am always very thorough when it comes to visiting your dog or cat. I am very good with communicating with my client as needed and safety is my top priority. I always thoroughly clean the areas your pet uses. I always send pics as requested daily. I am best known for my patience when it comes to caring for pets with special needs.
