I offer Dog Day Care at my house and Dog Walking and Drop-in Visits for Cats and Dogs at your home and at hotels, airbnbs, etc. Wherever your furry kids are, I send activity reports and photos so you know how they are doing. DROP-IN VISITS Let your Dogs and Cats stay where they are happiest--Home Sweet Home! (Or wherever you call home when visiting Trinidad.) They will get lots of TLC and anything else they need. Book one or more standard 30-minute visits or extended visits on an hourly basis for as many days as needed. Your home (and suitcases) as well as your pets will be in trusted hands. First and foremost, I respect your privacy and confidentiality. Security is paramount too. I had security clearances and trained in security systems and protocols during a 30-year museum career, including 23 years as director of the Trinidad History Museum for History Colorado. DOG DAY CARE For a "Home Away from Home," my house is the perfect place for your pupper. As the only guest, they will get lots of TLC, can roam the main level, cuddle, and get on the couch. For a touch of home bring their bed, blanket and toys, and their food for calm tummies. I have two small dogs who you and your dog will Meet and Greet to make sure everyone gets along before booking. My dogs mostly ignore guest dogs so I can tend to your pooch's every need. My cat stays in a separate area when canine visitors are here but she can be seen through a gate so your dog must like cats. CRATING As a precaution, I put your dog in a crate if I leave the house, usually for about an hour. If I need to be away longer than two hours, I will let you know as soon as possible. VACCINATIONS Please provide paperwork showing up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies and kennel cough (bordetella). My dogs' vaccination records are available upon request. OUTSIDE SAFETY I will be with your dog at all times, they will be on a leash or tie-out, my front and back yards are separately fenced, and there is plenty of shade. Your dog can go out as often as they want, meet neighbors and their dogs over the fence, and walk with me on my hillside path. Please provide a harness. EXPERIENCE I am one of eight women who founded Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association in the mid-1990's as a "shelter without walls" and then transformed the city pound into a loving and comfortable shelter where cats and dogs (and a few other critters) waited for forever homes. Years later, Noah's Ark helped build a new city shelter, and managed it from 2020-2023. Now Noah's Ark donates a percentage of sales from its Thrift Store to support the City of Trinidad Animal Shelter. With Rover since 2017, my clients have included a little dog who wore diapers; cats and dogs who needed insulin shots; an energetic drug-sniffer Belgian Malinois in law enforcement; and just about everything in between!
