Here are the ground rules, if any of these statements apply to your situation, I don't want to waste your time. You are better off with another sitter. - You need a sitter today or tomorrow (sorry I need to have met you and your dog 48 hours prior minimum) - I need a very tidy house (Sorry we have a puppy, check back in a year or two) - I have a protective breed (sorry, I'm sure your dog is the greatest, but not our thing) - Your dog has mobility or vision issues. (Sorry, lots of stairs in the house and 3 other dogs. It is unlikely to end well) - You want to make a cash deal on the side (good for you, some sitters will take that chance, I'm not one of them) - Got a dog that is not vaccinated (dirty word I know), fixed or toilet trained (sorry, not interested) I fully understand some of you will by now be thinking, geez what an (insert expletive here). if this applies to you, that's cool. I'm Paul, thank you for taking the time to read my profile and getting to know me a little better, I assure you it will not be a waste of your time. The bottom line here folks is there are a lot of people on Rover. Some are new, some are in it to turn a quick buck and others just need the money. To be sure, not all sitters here are equal!! Your choice counts to you and your pet!! You need to get it right the first time! Your dogs health and safety depend on your decision! So why choose me right? The first thing you will notice is my profile is a little different ... under my photo it has all 3 things you want to see. - A red cross - First aid and CPR. If anything goes wrong I am able to triage ahead of rushing your pet ro your vet. - A yellow shield . This indicates I paid extra for an ENHANCED background check. The blue shield represents the free background check we all must get. - A black mortar board tells you I went the extra mile and completed Rover 101!! This is our best practices course. Most will have 1, some have 2, almost none of us have ALL 3 The next thing is you will see double digit reviews and repeat clients. This tells you, I am experienced and have a long standing relationship with Rover. I was here pre-COVID and I have recently returned post-COVID. To be completely transparent with you, you will see a bunch of prior pets. These were all PRE PANDEMIC, like most of us COVID devastated our job or business, I was no exception, I had a thriving pet care business in Dec 2019 by the end of March 2020, I had squat. I only recently re-opened again on 7/1/21. Third, I limit stays to 1 family at a time to make the best possible experience. On occasion there is a one night overlap between one family coming in and the other going out. Bookings here at THE SPA are EXTREMELY LIMITED and I am EXTREMELY PICKY about who I take as you will see below. The fourth and final reason is that I protect my 5 star rating fiercely. ROVER has a process and I follow it to the letter. For the health and safety of all concerned, no shortcuts, no exceptions. This is not Wag, I don't take a dog on the spot, sight unseen under any circumstances. It is unsafe and a recipe for disaster. At THE SPA, safety is the over arching and number 1 priority we have. Thus we have developed some of our own ground rules. These rules work in conjunction with ROVER's rules. These rules are for the protection of ourselves, our pets and your pet, thus they are NON NEGOTIABLE! Yes this is a repeat in case you missed it the first time. - A meet & Greet is essential ... no M&G no booking. - The M&G should be minimum 2 days before the beginning of the service - DO NOT request same day service, the reasons why are outlined above - You found me here, you pay me here - Your dog must be vaccinated (It would be nice if you were too) - Your dog must be spayed/neutered - Your dog must be toilet trained - Sorry, No bully breeds. I'm sure yours is as sweet as honey but just not our thing. - If you have young kids even though neither they nor you will be staying here, THE SPA is unlikely to be your cup of tea. Please re-read these rules carefully, I am not flexible with them!! You are welcome to ask me to bend them or break them, but the answer will be an emphatic NO! Next thing you need to know is, I have 5 pets of my own, most of which you can meet in my photos. I have a 8 year old Puggle (Pug x Beagle) named Becca, a 3 year old Frenchie mix named Holly, a 1 year old lab/ret/husky named Nova and 2 cats your pet will not meet. A little something about the space your doggo will be sharing with us. Again see my photos. We have 2 stories of air-conditioned indoor space. The dog door upstaira is open 24 x 7 and opens to a covered deck on one side and a open deck on the other. Between them is a set of stairs leading to a fully fenced, practically escape proof back yard. Feeding times are 9am and 6pm. Finally, and of most importance to you, I am a professional I do this for a living. I'm not going to "love on your fur babies". That's not to say youre pet will not get SUPERIOR CARE. I just refuse to endanger a pet in the name of cuteness. I give loving, professional care to your pet at an affordable price. That is my pledge to you and as you can see the people agree i deliver on my pledge. *** Please note *** 1. I will not work for cash off the app so please don't ask. 2. I do not accept untrained dogs at my house. Any dog coming to board or daycare must be house trained. 3. A meet and greet is essential for every new booking to make sure my pets gets along with your pet 4.
