I'm a self-employed map maker. I enjoy hiking, geography, maps, homebrewing, and cooking. Over the past ten years while living in North Carolina I've taken care of pets of numerous neighbors and friends. Most of these pets were dogs and cats. My next-door neighbor owned a cat who I cared for during some of her vacations. I also watered her plants and garden. I had another friend and close neighbor who had a pit bull mix that I fed, watered, and walked several times while they were away from their home. My partner was a part-time pet sitter for over a year. When she was unable to attend one of her clients I went during my work break to walk, feed and apply eye medicine for the dog. While in Charlotte, my partner and I had two chihuahuas, Lola and Biscuit. We adopted Biscuit at a local pet store. She was a super sweet dog, and even though she was old, we wanted to give her a good home. She was with us for three years before passing. I had four chickens for the last four years as well. Watering and feeding were daily tasks. Since there were several hawks that lived in our neighborhood we had to take precautions and close them in their coup each night. Moving, cleaning their coup, and changing straw for bedding were the weekly tasks. They were fun animals to have with each having such a different personality, plus we got eggs! Growing up my family owned several horses, goats, chickens, ducks, and a pig. We also had a few dogs and cats throughout the years. I have past experience feeding, watering, and caring for these types of animals. My schedule is flexible and I am available most hours of the day.
