STAY AWAY! I have a 6.5 month old kitten that I’ve never stayed away from for more than a few hours. I have three cameras in my home which I’m always checking while I’m out especially if I’m out of town. As a rover sitter myself, all of those who booked with me told me terrible first experience stories and now I have mine. (FYI you can find someone who had a similar experience in regards to Patty’s behavior in her reviews which I didn’t read prior to booking) This was my first time booking a service with rover and it was only for a drop in. Just needed a simple stop in, refill the auto feeder and go. I did not even need the full 30 minutes. I asked Patty before she booked if she’s comfortable doing the drop in without a meet and greet, she agreed and confirmed the booking. When she walked in she sounded nice and I could tell because I planned to oversee this visit from my living room camera (which I did). Once she was in I started giving her instructions and guidance on where to find things. When she couldn’t locate the treats I said on the camera where they were. She started yelling and calling me names, but I thought maybe I was hearing things so I called her. Patty was yelling over me, being completely disrespectful and judgmental about my home? Also, telling me that I should’ve been there and how she’s going to report me for not being there. Rover is not a service for people to pay for you to come say hello. This is a platform pet owners use to find caring individuals to help when an owner may not be able to. She should not be on this platform by any means. It was at a snap of a finger that Patty went off and then became calm in her demeanor and then went off again. That behavior is NOT safe for any pet. Take this advice for someone who grew up with pets all her life and is sitter on this platform.

Patty was fantastic and everything someone could ask for in a pet-sitter. She was very communicative and responsive throughout the process, very thorough and organized in her preparation, and Sydney had a great time staying with her. I'm hopefully going to be able to continue to use her services. I'd recommend Patty to anyone. In addition to being a great professional, she's also a lovely and friendly person and clearly has a genuine love for pets.
