When I was 7 I wrote Santa a letter that said, “All I want for Christmas is a doggy.” Good news- he brought me a 3 yr old beagle mutt rescue named Bugsy. I’ve owned dogs ever since, including a black lab and a cavalier spaniel. My husband, son, and I love all kinds of dogs and while we don’t have one of our own right now, we’re dying to love on someone else’s and play with them on our acre and a half in the country! We’re into long walks around the neighborhood, lots of treats, and furry cuddles. We also have experience caring for dogs with special diets, who need medication, and who have sensitive skin needs. When I’m not petting someone else’s dog, I am a teacher for an online charter school, so I get to work from home and give dogs frequent bathroom breaks and lots of company. My husband and I have a 4 year old son and a 1 yr old baby. And we would love to meet you and your dog! We often take in dogs who aren’t good with other pets since we don’t have any, but we do ask that they be good with kids since we do have two of those. Dogs are welcome in our beds/on our furniture if that’s what they’re used to at your house. We have a long leash connect in our yard so when we’re all out, they’re out with us. And we love to take our doggies on long walks around the neighborhood behind our farmhouse.
